The AI4Gov-X project brings new possibilities for working with artificial intelligence in the public sector – from experimentation to strategic decision-making. The Faculty of Economics of the Technical University of Košice is also involved in the project and contributes to linking education, innovation, and the practical use of AI.
The project is funded by the Digital Europe programme and brings together more than 40 partners from across Europe. Its goal is to prepare experts, students, and organisations for the effective, responsible, and practical use of artificial intelligence in public policy-making and the delivery of public services.
The AI4Gov-X project responds to the need to modernise public services and public policy-making through data and innovative digital solutions.
Practice-based education
AI4Gov-X brings a new approach to education in artificial intelligence that goes beyond traditional forms of teaching. In addition to online courses and training programmes, it places particular emphasis on practical experience and experimentation. The project’s educational model is based on developing competences in artificial intelligence, data, digital transformation, and public policy, while reflecting the current needs of the public sector in Europe.
The AI4Scale platform for experimenting with artificial intelligence
One of the main outputs of the project is the AI4Scale platform, which enables users to work with artificial intelligence in a real digital environment. The platform functions as a so-called sandbox, that is, a safe environment intended for experimentation in which users can create and test AI models, work with data, and carry out their own projects.
An important characteristic of the platform is its accessibility even for users without advanced technical backgrounds, which supports learning through practical experience.
AI4Engine as a tool for strategic decision-making
The second key component of the project is the AI4Engine platform, which focuses on supporting innovation and strategic decision-making. It makes it possible to analyse trends, create scenarios for future development, and identify new opportunities for innovation.
At the same time, it supports the connection of users and organisations, creating space for cooperation and the formation of new partnerships. The platform combines approaches of trend analysis, foresight, and matchmaking, thus contributing to better decision-making based on data and prediction of future developments.
Upcoming cascade calls
The project will also include so-called cascade calls through which a wider range of interested participants will be able to join AI4Gov-X activities and gain access to education, tools, and practical experience with artificial intelligence.
The calls will target not only students but also public administration workers, experts, companies, and research organisations. Their goal is to support skills development and the testing of AI solutions in real conditions of the public sector.
Zapojení účastníci budú mať možnosť využiť vzdelávacie a rozvojové aktivity projektu, ktoré zahŕňajú napríklad medzinárodný študijný program zameraný na umelú inteligenciu, dátové priestory a digitálnu transformáciu verejnej správy, krátkodobé špecializované kurzy, ako aj intenzívne letné a zimné školy organizované v rôznych európskych mestách.
Súčasťou ponuky sú aj flexibilné online kurzy dostupné širšej verejnosti, ktoré umožňujú postupné budovanie zručností a získavanie mikrocertifikátov. Tento prístup umožňuje účastníkom prispôsobiť si vzdelávanie vlastným potrebám a postupne si vytvárať profil odborníka v oblasti umelej inteligencie a digitálnej transformácie verejného sektora.
O projekte AI4Gov-X
AI4Gov-X (AI4Gov Accelerate) je európsky projekt zameraný na využitie umelej inteligencie a digitálnych technológií vo verejnom sektore. Reaguje na potrebu modernizácie verejných služieb a tvorby verejných politík prostredníctvom dát a inovatívnych digitálnych riešení.
Projekt sa sústreďuje na rozvoj zručností úradníkov, tvorcov politík a odborníkov, ktorí sa podieľajú na digitálnej transformácii verejnej správy. Pomáha im lepšie porozumieť umelej inteligencii, využívať ju pri rozhodovaní a zavádzať riešenia, ktoré sú dôveryhodné, etické a zamerané na potreby občanov.
Súčasťou projektu sú vzdelávacie programy, praktické nástroje a experimentálne prostredia, ktoré umožňujú testovať AI riešenia v oblastiach ako verejné služby, zdravotníctvo, mobilita či vzdelávanie. AI4Gov-X zároveň podporuje vznik novej generácie odborníkov schopných prepájať technológie, dáta a verejné politiky v prospech efektívnejšieho a modernejšieho fungovania verejného sektora.
Zároveň projekt AI4Gov-X otvára priestor aj pre odborníkov, zástupcov verejnej správy, firiem či výskumných organizácií, ktorí majú záujem podieľať sa na jeho tvorbe. Zapojenie je možné formou účasti na workshopoch, testovania nástrojov, poskytovania spätnej väzby alebo spolupráce na vývoji riešení pre verejný sektor.
