The AI4Gov-X project has launched its first cascade call, aimed at supporting education, skills development, and international activities in the fields of artificial intelligence and the digital transformation of the public sector.

The call is funded through the Digital Europe Programme and aims to reduce economic barriers for participants engaging in the educational and professional activities of the AI4Gov-X project. Students and professionals from European Union countries—including Slovakia—as well as from other eligible programme countries, may apply for support.

Podpora účasti na vzdelávacích aktivitách

Support for participation in educational activities The first is financial support for participation in extracurricular activities under the AI4Gov-X project, which include short-term professional courses, summer and winter schools, and other international educational events focused on artificial intelligence, data spaces, and the digital transformation of public administration.

Participants may receive a contribution towards costs associated with their participation in activities, such as travel, accommodation, or registration fees. The maximum amount of support is 5,000 euros per participant.

At the same time, the project is developing a flexible educational ecosystem that combines online learning, intensive professional programs, and hands-on experimentation with AI tools within the real-world context of the public sector.

Support for internships in the field of AI and digital transformation

The second part of the call focuses on supporting internships and professional placements for participants in the upcoming international study program, MagiX Master. The aim is to support the acquisition of practical experience in organizations operating in the public or private sector.

Under this scheme, participants may receive a financial contribution related to the completion of an internship, provided they participate in the MagiX program and meet other criteria defined in the call.

Multiple deadlines

The call operates on the basis of rolling deadlines. The first deadline for the submission of applications is set for June 30, 2026. Subsequent deadlines will follow every two months until the available funds are exhausted.

The total allocation for the call exceeds €980,000. The support scheme for educational activities allows for the reimbursement of a maximum of 50% of eligible costs associated with participation in project activities, up to a limit of 5,000 euros per participant.

How to get involved

Applications must be submitted exclusively electronically via the GoodGrants platform. The application includes, for example, a motivation letter, a CV in Europass format, and documents confirming involvement in AI4Gov-X project activities.

About the AI4Gov-X Project

AI4Gov-X (AI4Gov Accelerate) je európsky projekt zameraný na využitie umelej inteligencie a digitálnych technológií vo verejnom sektore. It addresses the need to modernize public services and develop public policies through data and innovative digital solutions.

The project focuses on developing the skills of officials, policymakers, and experts involved in the digital transformation of public administration. It helps them better understand artificial intelligence, use it in decision-making, and implement solutions that are trustworthy, ethical, and focused on the needs of citizens.

The project includes educational programs, practical tools, and experimental environments that allow for the testing of AI solutions in areas such as public services, healthcare, mobility, and education. At the same time, AI4Gov-X supports the emergence of a new generation of experts capable of bridging technologies, data, and public policy to foster a more efficient and modern public sector.

At the same time, the AI4Gov-X project creates opportunities for experts, representatives of public administration, companies, and research organizations who are interested in contributing to its development. Involvement is possible through participation in workshops, testing tools, providing feedback, or collaborating on the development of solutions for the public sector.
